September kicks off with great VR events

IFA Consumer Electronics Unlimited 2016 is a huge tradeshow along the lines of CES in Las Vegas. Taking place in Berlin, Germany, the five-day event starting today (2 September) features five theme days: Smart Home, Virtual Reality, Digital Health, Future Mobility and the Internet of Things. The huge event showcases the latest VR hardware and the IFA Startup Days, which runs from 2 to 6 September includes the VR Startup Day on the second day of the tradeshow.

The inaugural Global VR/AR China Summit 2016 is happening on 7-8 September in Shanghai. The two-day event is packed with informative sessions and exciting exhibitions presented by more than 500 participants from more than 20 countries. Senior representatives from high-tech companies like Google, NVIDA and Unity as well as startups like Chronicles VR, Crow’s Nest VR, Amplified robot and SpaceVR and others form the stellar speaker line-up that will share the latest in hardware, manufacturing, software, content and other aspects of VR technology. The intense two days will cover VR and related tech and culminate in the Global Awards for VR/AR Industry.

Barcelona will play host to VS Games 2016 from 7 to 9 September. This is the 8th International Conference on Virtual Worlds and Games for Serious Applications. The conference focuses on developing and nurturing theoretical and academic rigour in the discussion of serious games and virtual worlds. Topics include virtual environments, alternate reality games, case studies in serious games and virtual worlds, gamification and much more.
