As billions of devices are expected to become connected and companies are positioning themselves for the new reality, Vmoksha Technologies in Bangalore, India, is taking the Internet of Things (IoT) bull by the horn by offering a 2-day boot camp to get developers up to speed with what’s needed for an end-to-end IoT solution. IoT Bootcamp will take place on 10 and 11 September.

Another chance for developers building IoT to get together and exchange ideas, is ThinkMonk, taking place on 12-14 September in Shoreditch, UK. The theme of the conference is: “Developers, Data, Design: The New Industrial.” On September 12 there’s a half day conference dedicated to the Eclipse Foundation's IoT ecosystem and also the ThingMonk hackday which will explore the topic of conversational IoT, with workshops on Watson (and Alexa) to kick off the hackday which will conclude by candle light.

TechCrunch Disrupt is the world’s leading stage for debuting early-stage startups. Preceding the Disrupt Conference (12-14 September) is Hackathon weekend on 10-11 September, where developers and engineers from all over the world take part in a 24-hour hackathon. Disrupt has built a reputation for gathering the best and brightest to participate in on-stage interviews, the Startup Battlefield competition, the 24-hour Hackathon and Startup Alley for early stage startups to showcase their innovations. A number of startups in IoT will compete at the event in San Francisco. On 14 and 15 September the 2nd Annual IoT in Oil and Gas conference takes place in Houston, Texas. The event will explore the evolution of IoT technology through case studies, practical thought leadership sessions and insights.
