Internet of Things hot topic at tech events worldwide

The Internet of Things (IoT) continues to be a hot topic at tech events taking place across the globe in the latter part of October.

Alongside Contextual Tech, Sensors & Beacons, Data & Analytics, Cloud, Augmented & Virtual Reality, AI, Connectivity, FinTech, Blockchain & Robotics, the latest solutions and innovations in IoT will be showcased at The Tech Expo, a two-day Conference & Exhibition taking place in London 24 - 25 October. The conference aims to educate attendees on new tech solutions for business that promise a competitive edge and a healthy bottom line.

IoT Day at EclipseCon Europe, taking place in Ludwigsburg, Germany, on 25 October is exclusively devoted to the different aspects of IoT technology and ways to start building IoT solutions. This is an event for networking opportunities and exploring the business potential of IoT.

Another event exclusively devoted to the IoT is the IOT Solutions World Congress 2016 taking place 25-27 October in Barcelona, Spain. IoT solutions for Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy & Utilities, Transportation & Logistics, and Innovation & Technology will be explored by the 8,000 attendees expected at the event. This is the only event featuring live testbeds of Industrial IoT solutions and applications, which will be on display at the exhibition.

As part of Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW), which is expected to attract 15,000+ visitors from all over the world, Asian Downstream Week will take place on 26 – 27 October. In its 9th edition, the region’s largest downstream-focused conference and exhibition is designed to help refiners and petrochemical operators understand what digital transformation means for them and how it can help achieve overall operational excellence.

The theme of Cyber summit 2016 on 26 – 28 October in Banff, Canada is the privacy and policy implications of technologies related to open, big data and IoT. The conference is a mix of how-to workshops and forward-looking, strategic sessions. The goal is to help everyone in an organization envision the potential of emerging IoT technologies, and show them how to put their ideas into action.
