Market analysis has found that Asia-Pacific is the largest market for haptic technology with the growth being led by China, Japan, and South Korea. The key drivers contributing to the growth of the market are increasing adoption of haptics in consumer electronic devices such as smartphones and tablets and gaming consoles. Virtual reality (VR) technology also depends on advancements in haptics to convince users that they find themselves in another reality when they don a VR headset.
